beta2 is out, and we have received a lot of feedback.
Lots of people reported great success using the DVD image for installation.
Quite a few users, who are upgrading their systems from earlier beta/alpha installs, and/or are using the net-installer, have reported problems with pluto-orbiter and/or pluto-mythtv-scripts failing to install.

We did not have any updates in the past weeks, like we used to in the alpha stages. Reasoning was two fold:
* There were database changes, which touched every part of the LinuxMCE
* Beta is no alpha, and we want to make sure, things work before inflicting pain onto the majority of LinuxMCE users.
Among other things, the past weeks have been used to optimize the setup of graphic card drivers. Inclusion of VDPAU enabled MythTV and Xine.
For people outside the US, another major step towards support for UTF-8 has been taken. This means, Umlauts, accents etc should show up correct.
We still have open bugs, but are confident, that this beta2 is a major step towards a release candidate.
